Details About Apple’s Latest Apple AR/VR HMD (Head Mounted Display)
According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the rumored Apple AR headset could arrive as early as next year in April. We anticipate that Apple will launch an AR HMD device in 2022. The HMD will come with a video see-through AR experience. So there is a need for lenses as well, and Genius is also a major supplier, Kuo said. Genius Electronic is a major supplier of optical iPhone 12 camera lenses. So it won’t be a huge surprise that the company is supplying lenses to Apple for AR headsets.
Apple’s VR mixed-reality device headset will launch in 2021 or 2022. Kuo predicted that the Apple AR headset would be announced sometime this year.
