This report doesn’t go into processors, but we’ve already heard that Google may be dropping Qualcomm in favor of its own Whitechapel chip. The thinking is that if Google can control the hardware and software, which in this case is Android 12, then Google will be able to offer a more Apple-like experience.
In addition to these specifications, Front Page Tech reports that Google has committed to “at least 5 years of software updates” on both Pixel 6 models. So you don’t have to worry about your handset becoming obsolete soon.
