SummerSlam 2021 Results- Goldberg will challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam on August 21 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. WWE made it official on Monday with an announcement on Raw in Chicago. The Lashley vs. Goldberg rivalry began one night after Money in the Bank. Lashley defeated Kofi Kingston at pay-per-view to retain the WWE title, and then defeated Keith Lee, who returned on Raw the following night.
After Lashley’s victory over Lee, Goldberg made a surprise appearance and came face-to-face with Lashley. The WWE Hall of Famer declared “I’m next” in an apparent reference to challenge the WWE champion. Goldberg is one of the most accomplished wrestlers in the history of the business. He won the World Heavyweight Championship once in WCW before becoming a two-time Universal Champion and a one-time World Heavyweight Champion in WWE.
Goldberg relinquished the Universal Title to Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36 last year and was not seen again until earlier this year when he challenged Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble. During Goldberg’s absence, Lashley has been at the best of his career. The All-Mighty defeated The Miz for the WWE Championship in March to register their first World Title win in WWE. Since Lashley is similar to Brock Lesnar in size, stature, and strength, it made some sense for WWE to choose him as Goldberg’s rival.

Following an incident last week, WWE Raw from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri aired Nikki A.S. from last week. In this week’s episode of The All-Mighty, the former world champion responds. New Raw Women’s Champion Nikki A.S.H. opened the show with an in-ring promo. Charlotte Flair made her entry and vowed to get a rematch and take the belt back at the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV). Rhea Ripley also came out but got a huge babyface reaction, meanwhile, Sonya Deville and Adam Pierce showed up to book a triple threat match at the upcoming PPV. Flair also wanted a match tonight which Nikki promptly accepted.

WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
Bianca Belair defeated Sasha Banks to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37. After nearly four months away, Banks returned to WWE television last week, teaming up with Belair in a tag team match against Carmella and Zelina Vega. However, after their victory, The Boss turns on Belair, hitting him with a backstabber and Banks’ statements to end the show.
On August 6, Banks Kicks Off SmackDown and said that she was back to reclaim the spotlight she had created. Sasha claims she turned Belair into a rookie champion and doesn’t appreciate her lack of gratitude for all the accolades and fame she has brought to WWE’s EST.
